Totally 470,928 business organisations are obliged to submit VAT controlling reports from January 1, 2016. The total no. is formed primarily by sole traders (212,333), followed by limited liability companies (187,112). Bisnode’s analyst Petra Štěpánová has stated that the government hopes that the controlling reports will reduce tax evasions. According to Ms. Štěpánová, entrepreneurs criticise the controlling reports due to higher costs, additional bureaucratic duties and concerns about data abuse.
