ŠKODA ELECTRIC has been successful in a tender procedure for complete electric equipment for tramways in Suzhou, China. The contract comprises 18 low-floor tramways manufactured by Chinese CRRC Nanjing Puzhen. Suzhou currently operates 40 five-coach metro sets with traction equipment from the Czech company. The supply for 40 additional metro sets with a technical concept for six-coach sets is about to be completed.
