Retail chain Albert is expanding its cooperation with Czech suppliers; all pork and beef meat offered by the chain from September 2016, except for promotions, will be of Czech origin. AHOLD CR has signed a memorandum of cooperation with providers Masokombinát Polička, Kostelecké Uzeniny and Rabbit Trhový Štěpánov, under the auspices of Minister of Agriculture Marian Jurečka (KDU-ČSL). Customers can recognise Czech origin according to Czech flag and the sign Česká Potravina (Czech Foodstuff) on new packaging. AHOLD CR estimates that meat sales will up to triple.
