The Czech Republic is one of the leading countries in Europe for contactless card payments, the news site e15.cz on Friday. Last year, they carried out over one billion online payments, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. “The overall value of transactions was nearly 700 billion crowns,” chairman of the Czech Bank Card Association Roman Kotlán told the news site, adding that the number of contactless transactions is likely to grow even further in the future.
