Health insurer Zaměstnanecká Pojišťovna Škoda (ZPŠ) spent totally CZK 82.1m on the treatment of 20 most expensive patients in 2014. The information was provided in a survey by ČIANEWS by ZPŠ’s assistant director Petr Kvapil. According to Mr. Kvapil, ZPŠ registered the highest treatment costs for a child patient with a rare disease – infantile hypophosphatasia. This patient’s treatment costs totalled CZK 13.6m.
