On February 25, 2016, Ferat 2 was unveiled to the Czech public. A handcrafted motorcycle with a throbbing engine for a heart, Ferat 2 gleams in tones of red, black and chrome. It is a machine that combines superpower with a streamlined design and top-of-the-line components. The exclusive Czech motorcycle weighs 169 kg and has a max of 169 HP, making it one of the lightest, most powerful supersport motorcycles on the market. It can ride at speeds of up to 270 km/h.

Ferat 2 was inspired by the 1982 Czech cult movie “Ferat Vampire” (Upír z Feratu), which was directed by Juraj Hertz and the Oscar winner Mr. Theodore Pistek. The original Ferat vampire was a Skoda 110 Super Sport with one-of-kind style that ran on human blood. Like its car namesake, Ferat 2 has a unique design, a powerful motor and, according to its creators, it induces addiction in its driver. Directors Hertz and Pistek endorsed the new Ferat 2 motorcycle with enthusiasm and serve as godfathers of the project.

The project team of developers and designers spent over 5,000 hours in the creation of the Ferat 2 motorcycle. The design is the work of Roman Simcik (who has done design work for Porsche, AMG and Skoda.) The heart of the motorcycle is a Ducati engine, which is one of the most powerful two-cylinder motorcycle engines in the world, the Ferat2 motorbike is comprised of carbon, titanium and high-strength Dural components, including all-carbon wheels.

Only 25 motorbike enthusiasts will be able to purchase the limited-edition motorbike, whose estimated cost starts at 2 million CZK (without VAT). Due to the high level of handcrafted elements (approximately 70%), the motorcycle takes 9 months to build and customize to an individual owner.

The Ferat 2 prototype will be on display during the upcoming annual Prague Motorbike Show 2016 at the Výstaviště Praha fairgrounds from 3-6.3.2016.
