Coal miners from northern Czech Republic took to the streets of Prague to urge the government to scrap environmental limits on open-pit mining. Several hundred miners marched in front of the Industry and Trade Ministry on Thursday, carrying banners with slogans such as “Czech coal or Putin’s gas?” and “Don’t take our job! You don’t have alternatives for us.”
