As of March 31, 2016 state budget income totaled CZK 341.95bn. Overall expenditures totaled CZK 298.35bn. The budget surplus totaled CZK 43.6bn. At the end of March 2015 it had totaled CZK 19.9bn. This was reported by the Finance Ministry of the Czech Republic, according to which the CZK 27.5bn increase in income was primarily driven by tax income including social security contributions (+CZK 14.2bn) and income from the EU (+ CZK 12.7bn).
