According to data collected in the beginning of the year, the average Czech wage increased by 5% compared with last year, to over CZK 34,000 per month. However, this figure may not reflect the whole picture across the population, as regional disparities are wide and the coronavirus crisis has led to wage cuts and lay-offs, particularly among low-income employees.
