Bohemian-born artist František Kupka was one of the key figures in the development of abstract expressionism. But he began in the 1890s by painting portraits and historical themes, as was common at that era. The new exhibition as Museum Kampa called František Kupka from the Lilli Lonngren Anders Collection has works mainly from his transitional period.
