Perfection and ebullience are the two words that concisely describe Jiří Bělohlávek’s conducting of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. This was clear during the performances Oct 17-19 of Janáček’s suite from the opera The Excursions of Mr. Brouček, Dvořák’s Biblical Songs, and Stravinsky’s suite from Petrushka.
