Terezín’s melodies: Music from a concentration camp

Humorous is not the word one would expect to hear in relation to a project that started with a concentration camp, but that is how Israeli composer Michael Wolpe describes Make-Believe Town, a cabaret based on musical compositions written at the Terezín ghetto and recently performed at Yad Vashem, Jerusalem’s Holocaust museum, by members of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
