Litomerice, North Bohemia, Oct 19 (CTK) – The arts of the Krusne hory (Ore Mountains) region in the years 1250-1550 will be presented at the exhibition called “Without Boundaries” that will open in Prague on November 27 and that was presented Monday.

The exhibition with the subtitle “Art in the Ore Mountains Region 1250-1550” was presented to journalists in Litomerice because the local bishopric has loaned the biggest number of exhibits for the display.

Visitors will see some 200 works of art, including large wing altars, board and book paintings, sculptures and examples of goldsmith’s work and arts and crafts items.

The artefacts are to show the importance and wealth of north-western Bohemia a big part of which was a border region in the past and testify to the tight contacts between the landscape on both sides of the Ore Mountains ridge.

Two trade routes connecting Bohemia and Saxony led across the ridge, starting in Prague, the centre of the Czech kingdom.

One route copying the Labe (Elbe) River led to Dresden, the other crossed the north Bohemian towns of Louny and Most and continued to Freiberg.
