According to ČNB Governor Miroslav Singer, it is impossible to deduce from the available data that the eurozone provides any substantial stimulus encouraging economic growth. Given the perspective of the Czech Republic’s potential eurozone entry, empirical data show that the eurozone and eurozone membership did not bring any observable benefits for economic growth before the crisis.
