Chinese LCD TV set manufacturer Changhong opened its European research and development (R&D) centre in the Czech-Chinese industrial zone in Nymburk. Engineering & Quality Manager Pavel Kafka has told ČIANEWS that Changdong’s activity is expanded to the pre-production phase with the centre’s opening. The goal is to participate on the development of new products for the European market. Beside developing the centre gradually, the company wants to focus on the improvement of after-sales services. The services were previously secured by contractual partners, while newly the company wants to insource as much of the services as possible.
