Industry was the main motor of growth and decisive factor for Czech economy’s performance in 2014, as documented by the growth of the gross added value (GAV). GAV increased more significantly (up 2.6%) than the total output measured by GDP, especially in processing industry (up 6.0%). Industry’s contribution to GAV formation grew to 32.6%; processing industry accounted for 26.7%.
