The Ministry of Environment approved on May 4, 2016, totally 393 projects for the building and/or improvement of facilities for the collection, sorting and treatment of waste, removal of environmental burdens and anti-flood measures. A total of CZK 2.1bn will be divided among the applicants form the funds of the 2014-2020 Environment Operational Programme. As ČIANEWS has previously informed, the State Environment Fund received the most project applications in the 5th call, focusing on waste and material flows and environmental burdens and risks (465 applications worth CZK 2.06bn). Applications for subsidies for anti-flood measures totalled over CZK 1bn.
