The Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) plans to repair ca. 200 railway station buildings. The selected projects’ costs are estimated at ca. CZK 8.2bn. SŽDC’s deputy general director for asset management, Tomáš Drmola, has told ČIANEWS that the reconstruction of selected railway station buildings may be completed within three to five years. SŽDC may draw up to 80% of the funds for these repairs from EU. The condition is that the transfer of the properties from the Czech Railways to SŽDC must be completed.
