Mortgage bank Hypoteční Banka extended approximately 1/3 more loans in Q1 2015. The average mortgage reached CZK 1.77m. The share of refinanced loans amounts to ca. 20% in the long run. The spokesperson for Hypoteční Banka, Marie Mocková, has stated in a survey for ČIANEWS that now when the interest rates have reached a record low, clients prefer longer five- and seven-year fixation, as compared to the three-year fixations that dominated in previous years.
