Forest management company Lesy České Republiky cut totally 5.23 million m3 of timber in the first eight months of 2015. The total timber harvest in 2015 is planned at 7.67 million m3, while the plan for 2016 foresees 7.5 million m3. The spokesperson for LČR, Eva Jouklová, has stated in a survey for ČIANEWS that the company invested almost CZK 1.7bn from own resources into forest roads, water management, lots, forestry machines and devices, vehicle fleet upgrades etc. According to Ms. Jouklová, the plan for 2016 is currently in the preparatory phase.
