The Czech Telecommunications Office (ČTÚ) has opened the auction of available radio frequencies in the 1 800 MHz and 2 600 MHz band. By allocating the frequencies, the authority wants to contribute to the effective utilisation of the entire extent of the spectrum, create prerequisites for further development of mobile broadband and support economic competition. The put-up price of the offered frequencies totals CZK 734m. ČTÚ is accepting bids into the auction until March 22, 2016.
