The impact of Czech National Bank’s (CNB) interventions on Czech economy’s growth is not too significant, the rector of the College of Banking (BIVŠ), Pavel Mertlík, has stated in Czech Television’s discussion show Otázky Václava Moravce (OVM). According to Mr. Mertlík, the current imported deflation tends to stimulate the economy. CNB’s monetary section and statistics director Tomáš Holub has stated in the program that the central bank would use additional interventions if the Czech economy starts slowing down.
