The need for economic and legal analysis of the consequences of shared economy on consumer protection, tax rules or labour law in the Czech Republic is growing. The Czech Confederation of Commerce and Tourism (SOCR ČR) has stated that shared economy will account to up to 2% of Czech Republic’s GDP within two years. According to SOCR ČR, the gross income from individual shared economy platforms in the entire EU reached EUR 28bn in 2015 and is set to grow to up to EUR 572bn in the coming years.
