Spending on research and development in the Czech Republic in 2015 grew by 4.2% y/y to CZK 88.6bn in 2015. Entrepreneurs contribute more than half of the spending (CZK 45.6bn), up 5.4% y/y. This stems from the survey commissioned by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (AMSP ČR) and the firm Ayming. One third of firms fully use the saving from R&D-related tax deductions for further development investments. Due to controlling bodies’ differing approaches and growing administrative requirements, one third of the polled companies are considering not using the tax deductions anymore.
