ŠKODA AUTO is completing the assembly of presses for the main production line of its new press shop in Mladá Boleslav. The optimisation stage with restricted production on the new PXL II press line will begin on December 20, 2016. The first press line for aluminium car-body parts will enter permanent operation in February 2017. Every day, up to 23,000 pressed parts for several ŠKODA models will be produced there. The carmaker invested EUR 86.4m in the project. The new press shop will create 140 jobs. The construction of the 11,600 sq m hall began in 2015.
