The banking sector in the Czech Republic generated after-tax profit of CZK 13.81bn in Q1 2016, as compared to CZK 16.64bn in Q1 2015. The profit from financial and operating activities totalled CZK 39.74bn in Q1 2016. Interest earnings reached CZK 36.94bn. Revenues from fees and commissions totalled CZK 10.69bn. This stems from the data made public by the Czech National Bank (CNB).
