In the next two years, the completion of 4G LTE construction, review of its availability and its increased density in the Czech Republic are the priorities for O2 Czech Republic. As of 2017, the operator will start working on the arrival of a fifth-generation network. It is expected that the 5G technology will allow for a massive development of areas that are now originating, e.g. the Internet of Things. For a ČIANEWS survey, this information was provided by spokeswoman Lucie Pecháčková who added that O2 had a special team of experts and as a technological pioneer it wanted to participate in the creation of 5G standardisation that is currently underway.
