Income of the Czech Republic from incoming tourism increased by 3% y/y to CZK 32.1bn in the first quarter of 2015. Expenses on external tourism grew by one fifth to CZK 27.5bn. This was stated by the agency CzechTourism based on data published by the Czech National Bank. According to CzechTourism General Manager Monika Palatková, the development was still influenced by a complicated political situation between Russia and EU and a significant recovery on close European markets and growing demand from Chinese and Korean tourists.
