Totally 5,062 apartments were launched in Q1 2015, the fewest since 1996. The no. of building tenders from public organisations increased in May, but their value dropped a fifth. The value of building contracts awarded by public administration over the first five months of 2015 was almost 10% lower. The value of engineering structures in May dropped 17.5%, while the no. remained unchanged; the value of structural engineering projects dropped 27%. Almost one third of the contracts was awarded through annexes to existing contracts, the president of the Association of Construction Industry Entrepreneurs, Václav Matyáš, has stated in an interview for ČIANEWS.
