Prague, 19th August, 2013: Following its announcement earlier this year, DH Telecom is delighted to announce today that its preparations for the launch on the Czech market of “OpenCall”, the first prepaid GSM operator with low cost international calls, are ahead of schedule, and potential customers are already able to register for the new service.
The English version of the new OpenCall website will go live today (Monday, 19th August, 2013). The new website includes pricing information and the ability to order exclusively the first 1,000 free OpenCall SIM Cards. From 1st September, the website will be in a number of different languages, including Czech, English, German, Russian and Vietnamese and will offer an E-shop with special phone packages, online top-up and a dashboard.
OpenCall and its associated products will then be available for purchase online and in selected retailers throughout the Czech Republic from the first week of September.
Talking on behalf of OpenCall, Zdenka Haraslinova from the company’s PR agency, JWA Prague, said: “With OpenCall offering a unique international mobile phone call service, we believe that it will fill a real gap in the market and will be affordable for just about everyone. As the process of pre-registration launches, OpenCall will be able to react quickly and flexibly to its customers’ needs and will be able to collect important data that will help to make the launch of the service with dedicated distribution channels in September as smooth as possible.”
DH Telecom has always been clear in its mission that OpenCall provide the lowest prepaid GSM calls, both locally and internationally, for its customers in the Czech Republic, combined with a quick and straight forward purchase structure. Its new service and pricing allows for calling abroad to be as easy and cheap as calling in the Czech Republic. Prices for the OpenCall network start as low as Kc 1 per minute.
Vincent Charollais, the Managing Director of DH Telecom in the Czech Republic, said: “In the past few months we have seen a real price war on mobile phone tariffs, which has reduced the regular pricing structure of mobile phone calls in the Czech Republic more in line with other countries in Europe. We believe, however, that OpenCall, due to its prepaid low cost offer for both national and international calls, will be able to bring to the market an extremely efficient product.”
The OpenCall prepaid mobile phone service will be a true revolution for the Czech market, with customers able to access national and international rates without any form of contract, and, thereby, compete with the most attractive regular postpaid offers on the market.
OpenCall is the retail brand of DH Telecom and operates on the Vodafone network infrastructure, providing a full portfolio of mobile services.
