ZNOVÍN ZNOJMO said its 2015 revenues had amounted to CZK 288m compared to CZK 258m in 2014. Profit increased from CZK 25.5m in 2014 to CZK 29.3m. The rise is to be attributed to the growing sale of vintage and attributive wines, especially of the Lacerta viridis range, Ledňáček říční family, and of the new range with glass caps, Sauvignon green and Sauvignon tropical. A decline was recorded in the segment of cheaper wines, in particularly wines in one-litre packaging. The trend of a moderate rise in revenues continues in Q1 2016 (+7–8%). This information was provided to ČIANEWS by board chairman Pavel Vajčner who added that last month, the company had purchased about 50 ha of vineyards in the vicinity of the company’s seat in Šatov (wine tracks Peklo and Na vinici) and currently had around 500 ha of vineyards.
