An analysis by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) has shown that the proposed new system of tariffs for the calculation of electricity prices by the Energy Regulatory Office (ERÚ) is wrong and would result in a price hike for many households. More than 38% of households would be affected by higher electricity prices as would 91% of entrepreneurs with low electricity consumption. The analysis was presented to Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka (ČSSD) by Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek (ČSSD) on Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Office of the Government.
