The state plans to buy new trains for over CZK 20bn. According to calculations published by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic (MD), some CZK 11bn will be spent on purchases of electric trains and motor trains. Dozens of new speed trains will be purchased for CZK 9.5bn. The information was provided for ČIANEWS by MD spokesman Tomáš Neřold. According to his words, the majority of the money will be provided from EU funds. The first trains will likely be introduced in 2019 after agreements between regions and the state are valid.
