Unipetrol reported net profit of CZK 1.99bn for Q1 2015. Earnings before interests, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA LIFO) totalled CZK 3.11bn. The firm’s turnover dropped by 16% y/y to CZK 23.97bn, due to lower crude oil prices. The amount of processed crude oil totalled 1.24 million tons (up 10% y/y). Unipetrol’s CEO and board of directors chairman Marek Świtajewski has stated that the increase in profits was driven by the combination of high refinery margins and good utilisation of production capacities.
