Czech farmers’ association calls for financial relief for local fruit, vegetables

To stimulate the domestic demand for local produce, the Agricultural Union of the Czech Republic has called on the country’s government to declare fruit and vegetables grown by Czech farmers as products of strategic importance, subject to a lower value-added tax (VAT) rate.
