Totally 62,000 new sole traders were registered in the Czech Republic in 2014, down 10% y/y. The no. of new sole traders was the lowest in 9 years. There are currently almost 2.1 million trade licence holders in the Czech Republic. The highest share of new entrepreneurs is active in Prague (16.9%), the lowest in Karlovy Vary Region (2.5%). New sole traders are most frequently doing business in the segment of service brokering, trade and restaurants. This stems from the survey by Bisnode.
