Forest management company Lesy ČR plans for 2015 ca. 15% lower economic result than generated in 2014 (without the amortisation of reserves). The plan takes into account the fact that timber prices and logging volumes are decreasing, due to church restitutions. Lesy ČR’s general director Daniel Szórád has stated in an interview for ČIANEWS that the company is currently struggling with regionally significant consequences of a windstorm in Hanušovice and Ústí nad Orlicí districts, where the wind cut down 190,000 m3 of timber in early July.
