CzechInvest will be preparing strategies for priority foreign territories in the upcoming months. Within three years, the implementation of the new strategy should make the Czech Republic one of the 10 European countries most attractive for investors. Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek (ČSSD) said that despite CzechInvest’s success in brokering a higher number of investment projects each year, expansions prevailed over pure foreign investments and the influx of direct foreign investments had almost stopped. The agency’s strategic pillars should be, among other things, an increased activity abroad, better services for investors, a more co-ordinated support of SMEs, and an emphasis on using development capacities.
