Engineering firm KRÁLOVOPOLSKÁ RIA has won and signed the contract for the renewal of blocks no. 3 and 4 in Chvaletice power plant for CZK 2.5bn. The information was provided by Severní Energetická group, which the Chvaletice power plant is a member of. The project’s goal is primarily to cut the emissions of NOx and solid pollutants (dust particles) and prolong the blocks’ lifetime until 2030. The power plant’s general director, Luboš Pavlas, has stated that work on the blocks will commence in March 2016 and is scheduled to run until the end of 2016.
