The lower house banned the government on Tuesday from selling the country’s main airport, approving a bill that stipulates that the owner of the Prague Airport must be the state or a company owned by the state. It ends plans by the previous centre-right government to sell Prague Airport, valued by analysts and state officials at over CZK 50 billion. The law, supported by the Social Democrats and backed by the Communists, will go to President Václav Klaus for signature.
