20th June, 2013 – Prague College is delighted to announce that it has just completed a very successful first week of its inaugural “Summer Intensive Classes” programme, that offers anyone that is interested the chance to join an intensive course on subjects from all three of the Prague College schools: Business, Art & Design and Computing.
The Summer Intensive Classes programme was designed not only for students who want to catch up on classes that they missed or did not pass during the school year, but also for the Prague general public. To date, 15% of the 69 students attending have been from outside the School, most of which are either working professionals looking to further their knowledge in their area of business, people looking to study for their own personal growth, or students who would like to learn more about a certain subject before deciding to applying for an educational programme.
Some of the most popular courses that students can choose from include Digital Forensics, Business Decision Making, and Photography, but the programme offers some more unconventional classes as well, such as Live Electronic Music and Web Application Design and Development.
Douglas Hajek, Director of Prague College, commented on the programme:
““For the first time, we are offering classes outside the regular academic semesters. The “Summer Intensive Classes’ provide both current and new students the chance to choose from a really eclectic range of credit and non-credit classes. We want to make Prague College, its facilities and lecturers, available to students over the quieter summer months, and the fact that we have people attending from outside proves that there is an interest. Next year we expect to expand this programme significantly.”
Summer Intensive classes began on June 10th, and run through to the 28th of the month. For a full course list, please visit http://www.praguecollege.cz/en/home/summer-intensive. For more information on Prague College, go to www.praguecollege.cz.
