Prague, September 25th, 2012: The organizer of the LawTech Europe Congress 2012, E-Discovery Europe s.r.o. (“E-Discovery Europe”), has announced today the second keynote speaker of the congress, JUDr. Pavel Zeman, the Supreme Public Prosecutor of the Czech Republic. The congress will take place on 12th November, 2012, in the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague, and is expected to attract up to 700 delegates from all over the world.
Just a few weeks after confirming Richard Susskind OBE, the internationally renowned legal market futurist, consultant, writer, Chair of the Advisory Board of the Oxford Internet Institute, and IT Adviser to the Lord Chief Justice in the UK, as the first keynote speaker, JUDr. Pavel Zeman has been signed up as the second keynote speaker, and he will make the opening speech at the LawTech Europe Congress 2012. In his keynote, the current Supreme Public Prosecutor and a major advocate against corruption, will discuss the usage of electronic evidence in investigation and prosecution, and the current situation of cyber criminality in the Czech Republic .

JUDr. Pavel Zeman graduated from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. As a prosecutor, he worked at the district and regional public prosecutor’s office in Pilsen before being appointed to the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office in Brno. Since 2002, he worked as a prosecutor at the International Department of the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office, and in 2004 he became the youngest representative of the Czech Republic at Eurojust in Haag. In 2011, he was appointed the Supreme Public Prosecutor of the Czech Republic.
The LawTech Europe Congress is expected to attract Czech and international law and technology firms, regulatory bodies, technology experts and law schools who will have the opportunity to discuss legal technology topics within the region and framework of Central Europe. Plenary sessions, panel discussions and workshops will also be a part of the programme in order to open discussion about electronic evidence, cross-border data transfers and privacy, emerging technologies, and much more.
