Prague, Jan 31 (CTK) – The Czech government approved another 19 religious buildings and complexes as part of the National Cultural Heritage (NKP) at the proposal of the Culture Ministry on Wednesday, the Government Office press department has told journalists.

The NKP list includes the pilgrimage complex with the Our Lady of Victory Church in the Bila Hora neighbourhood in Prague and the pilgrimage complexes in Svaty Jan pod Skalou, central Bohemia, Marianska Tynice, west Bohemia, Svaty kopecek, south Moravia, and Svaty Kopecek, north Moravia.

The heritage sights will be under the top protection by the state.

Previously, the list was widened by 15 sights a year ago.

So far, the list, administered by the National Heritage Institute, comprised 336 movable and immovable items.

The NKP creates the most valuable part of national cultural heritage, with a stricter protection than cultural heritage. A law regulates the permanent and temporary export of the heritage sights abroad and their sale.

According to the proposal passed on Wednesday, the new NKP sights are to be heritage listed as of July 1.

The Culture Ministry which prepares the list of the proposals always concentrates on a certain heritage type. This time, it solely chose religious buildings and complexes.

There are also two pilgrimage complexes in the Liberec Region (in Horni Police and Hejnice), the pilgrimage complex with the Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bohosudov in the Usti Region, the Assumption of Virgin Mary Church in Chlum Svate Mari, west Bohemia, the St. Mary Magdalene’s Church, west Bohemia, and Svaty Hostyn, Central Moravia.
