The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Prague Group (OICPG) expresses its profound sympathies, sincere sorrows and deepest condolences to the people and the Government of the Czech Republic, as well as the bereaved families of those Czech nationals, who were unfortunately killed in a mass shooting incident that occurred at the Družba Restaurant in the Moravian town of Uherský Brod (Czech Republic) by a mentally disturbed Czech national Mr. Zdeněk Kovář.
The Ambassadors and the Charge d’ Affaires of the OICPG were shocked, horrified and grieved by the tragic and murderous shooting attack. Our thoughts remain with the bereaved families in their extreme moments of grief and sorrow.
We stand in solidarity with the people and the Government of the Czech Republic as well as the bereaved families to denounce the act of violence and terror that led to tragic deaths of innocent people. We also pray that the Czech Republic remains a peaceful country.
