The popular Škoda Favorit made its debut 30 years ago and helped to turn around the fortunes of the then-Czechoslovak carmaker. The Škoda Favorit debuted Sept. 16, 1987, at the International Engineering Fair in Brno, with Czechoslovak President Gustav Husák and PM Lubomír Štrougal in attendance.
