More than half a century ago, Emil Zátopek went to the London Olympics and left town with a gold medal and two gold rings. Zátopek, not only won the Olympic 10,000-meter title at Wembley Stadium for Czechoslovakia in 1948, but he also dropped by a jewelry store in Picadilly Circus to buy wedding rings for himself and his fiancée.
