Since the last update below we received several more contributions totaling CZK 3700. If you enjoy reading news in English about Prague and the Czech Republic, we are asking for the first time in history, to help us invest into a better, more modern, Prague Monitor. A sincere thank you is due from the Prague Monitor team to our readers and supporters. To update our funding drive we wanted to give specific numbers. We have to date received by either bank card or direct deposit 84 contributions averaging CZK 663.48 for a total CZK 55,732.
Our goal was CZK 500 from 1000 readers, so even though our objective is only about 12% fulfilled, we are hoping there are some skiers out there returning back to the city and ready to support our funding drive.
As a quick summary, the Prague Daily Monitor has been Prague’s English language Czech Newspaper for 17 years and has never asked for financial support from our readers. We have always funded our efforts through our wonderful commercial suppers. We are amidst an upgrade for our website and daily mailer. We have a few small outstanding debts and want to bring you more content. Our commercial partners cover our operating expenses but for our upgrade we are hoping our readership shows us their support and helps us finance the project.
