Prague, Dec 28 (CTK) – The Prague City Hall has launched a new application, Prague Visitor Guide, to acquaint tourists with the most interesting sights in the city and recommend walks and trips in and outside the centre of Prague, Kamila Kolmanova, from the city’s Operator ICT company, has told CTK.
The application’s pilot English-language version has been launched, she said.
“The application uses geo-location games to motivate tourists to visit interesting places outside the historical centre. The special walk routes, such as Prague at night, lookout sites, gastronomic events and Prague in film, will be modified several times a year,” Ludek Steffel, a member of Operator ICT’s board of directors, said.
At present, the application offers eight special routes on which tourists can collect points and compete with each other.
The users can assess various places after visiting them.
The application also offers information about ongoing events in Prague.
The City Hall wants it to become a part of the Prague Visitor Pass technical card as of September 2018, which will also contain public transport fare and discounts for various entrance tickets, and later also virtual tours of monuments.
Tourists will be able to order the car online before arriving in Prague or buy it in hotels, info centres, airports and railway stations.
