Prague, Dec 1 (CTK) – Czech senior officials should be obliged to release their CVs to improve the transparency of civil service, according to the plan of fighting corruption for 2016 that Human Rights Minister Jiri Dienstbier told reporters on Tuesday.

This duty should apply to section heads and higher officials “to have a certain public supervision of who fills significant posts in state administration,” Dienstbier (senior government Social Democrats, CSSD) said after a meeting of the government council for coordination of the fight against corruption.

So far senior officials can release their CVs on a voluntary basis.

“We plan a mandatory release of some data that are not at variance with the principle of personal data protection,” said Dienstbier.

The plan of corruption fight for next year includes the completion of a debate on some bills that have got stuck during the legislative process, for instance, the bill on register of contracts, amendments to the laws on political parties and public orders, Dienstbier said.

Another anti-corruption measure should be the public access to the system of the bills in preparation. “The public will be thereby able to follow the entire legislative process,” Dienstbier pointed out.

In addition, corruption analyses of Czech sports and health care should be finished. They will probably reveal corruption risks, and this is why measures to prevent corruption in these fields should be worked out, Dienstbier said.
