Prague, May 3 (CTK) – Finance Minister Andrej Babis’s ANO has started its campaign for the autumn regional and Senate elections with the slogan We Want a Better Czech Republic, it said in a press released on Tuesday.
ANO wants to focus on the health care, security, education, transport infrastructure, social services and good management of the civil service, ANO said.
By the summer holidays, the campaign will be dominated by billboards and its main stage will start at the end of the summer, the press release said.
On the central level, the campaign is expected to cost 60 million crowns, it added.
Since early May, billboards have been installed across the country, featuring leaders of the individual lists of candidates and ANO chairman, food and media mogul Babis.
There is also promotion in the media and online, the press release said.
The elections are due on October 7-8.
Babis said the campaign would be positive.
“We do not want to attack anyone. Lots of things must be improved in the regions. I think that over the past two years in the government we have shown that we are able to manage the affairs,” he added.
The campaign includes the portal We Want a Better Czech Republic for the general public.
